Kimberley Wardle
Kim Wardle received her degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Surrey, England in 2020. Her goal is to make science and microbiology more accessible to people of all education levels. She plans to complete further education, although she isn’t sure when or where. Her main priority at the moment is learning to drive and travelling once it is safe to do so.
She started working on ‘Please Hold For…’ in December 2019 as a place to share her work and to act as a hub for all her projects and passions. She is interested in photography, blogging, singing and science most of which you will be directed to via this website.
Kim’s main aim is to educate others. She also wants to understand why people go to university, what their experience was like and what they would do differently. She also wants to share her experience with microbiology and demonstrate the importance of micro-organisms to the human existence.

Their undergraduate dissertation was about trans male identity and the influence of John Keats in the work of Keaton St James. Non-literature related interests include choral singing, an eclectic taste in music that spans Sufjan Stevens to Gorgoroth, and various amateur creative pursuits. Esmé has been annoying Kim since 2005, when they were both seven years old.
Esmé and Kim work together on the Sparking Connections Podcast where they teach each other about their respective fields of study. Esmé is also responsible for drawing the podcast’s logo.
